ICT: Empowering Future Leaders

At Our Lady of Perpetual Help Primary School, we recognize that digital literacy is no longer an “extra”—it is a core pillar of a modern, evidence-based education. As a registered Cambridge Examination Centre, we integrate technology to ensure our students are not just consumers of digital content, but innovative creators prepared for a digitalised age.

Our ICT Framework:

  • Cambridge ICT Curriculum: Our learners follow a globally recognized pathway that develops essential skills in computer studies.

  • A Solution-Oriented Approach: We teach ICT as a tool for problem-solving. From the Infants department to the Juniors, technology is used to support literacy, numeracy, and creative research.

  • Specialized Instruction: Lessons are led by qualified specialists who focus on technical mastery and the ethical use of technology, aligning with our school’s Catholic ethos and values of Unhu/Ubuntu.

  • Evidence-Based Learning: We leverage modern hardware and software to provide a hands-on experience, ensuring students are “future-proofed” for higher education and beyond.

Key Skills Developed:

  • Foundational Computing: Understanding hardware, software, and file management.

  • Creative Digital Arts: Introduction to word processing, digital drawing, and multimedia presentations.

  • Digital Citizenship: Navigating the internet safely, respectfully, and responsibly.

Our Goal: To produce technologically savvy students who use their skills to contribute meaningfully to national development and innovation.
